Farmersburg, IN Opal Madge Quick,93, formerly of Farmersburg, went home to be with her Jesus at 10:50AM at the Plainfield Healthcare Center in Plainfield, IN. She was born January 26, 1918 in Connersville, IN to Ray Miller and Alta Ester Donica Miller. She is survived by a daughter Rev. Karol Popoff (Tim deceased), three sons Keith "Buck" Quick (Mary Lou), Rev. James Quick (Marjorie), Earl Raymond Quick (Lori), 18 grandchildren, 35 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jewell Lehue "Dude" Quick in 1985,three sisters Florence Doerflein, Betty Valot, Myrtle Robinson, and a brother Art Miller. She had worked as a nurse, a beautician, and a teacher at Apostolic Christian Academy School in Farmersburg. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Community Chapel where she was a Sunday School teacher, Choir Director, President of Home & Foreign Missions, a member of the International Ministerial Association, and was a 1936 graduate of Connersville High School. Opal's viewing will be Thursday, November 17th from 4:00 to 8:00PM, services Friday, November 18th at 11:00AM with District Elder Glenn Purnell officiating. Both will be in the Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Hymera, Indiana. Interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Farmersburg. Arrangements were entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan.
