Charles Henry "Chuck" Wells, Jr., 71, of Sullivan passed away at 10:02 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital. The 1958 graduate of Trafalgar High School was born June 6, 1939 in Roodhouse, IL to Charles H. Wells, Sr and Lottie Mae Edwards Wells. He was the former owner and operator of Charles H. Wells, Jr. and Associates and was a certified financial analyst and estate planner. Chuck, was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Crossroads Community Church, the Sullivan American Legion and the Sullivan Elks Lodge. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and a member of the Indian High School Basketball Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren and two sisters Janet Sue Wells and Marilyn Joyce Ledbetter.

Survivors include his wife of forty-years Patsy Saucerman Wells of Sullivan whom he married March 28, 1971, one son Donald (Marsha)Hall, Mooresville, three daughters Simone Gehrke, Terre Haute, LaSinda Hall and Sherri Hall both of Sullivan, one brother Robert "Bob" Wells, Temperance, MI, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan with Rev. Eddie Hammond and Erich Blevens officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera American Legions and the Sullivan VFW will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
