Rene' Baker, 50 of Sullivan passed away at Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Sullivan County Community Hospital. The 1978 graduate of Sullivan High School was born September 15, 1960 in Vincennes to Jerry Koenig and Mary K Grass Koenig Robbins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crossroads Community Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents.

Survivors include her husband of twenty-eight years Doug Baker of Sullivan whom she married February 25, 1983, one son Evan Douglas Baker, Sullivan, one daughter Megan (Thad) Simpson, Sullivan, one brother Bub Koenig, Carmel, her father, Carlisle, her stepfather Ivan "Tuffy" Robbins, Carlisle, two grandchildren Macey Simpson and Braden Simpson both of Sullivan and other relatives. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Carlisle Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday. Those who wish may make donations to the American Heart Association.
