Mahlon E. "Dizzy" Dean, 74, of Hymera passed away in his residence on Sunday, July 1, 2012. He was born August 17, 1937 in Sullivan County to William and Lucille Blevins Dean. He is survived by daughters Lisa (Steve) Sack, Kathryn Troyer, Michele Frossard (Joe), Bonnie Latta (Bill), sons Randy (Dee Dee), Michael (Erin), Scott "Boog" (Jody), sisters Ruth Wilson, Norma Sanders, Margie Ellen Shaw, Katy Knowles, Alice Staley, brothers William, Hugh, and James, fifteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Reva Thomson Dean, his parents, and a sister Anna Neal. He was owner operater of Mahlon Dean Trucking, Amax Coal Co. retiree, and school bus driver and owner for the Northeast Sullivan County School Corp. He was a member of Hymera Masonic Lodge #588 and the United Mine Workers of America. Services will be Friday, July 6, 2012, at 11:00AM in Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating interment will follow in Peavey Cemetery in Howesville. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00PM in the funeral home. Masonic Memorial Services will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday evening.

Services will be Friday, July 6, 2012, at 11:00AM in Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating interment will follow in Peavey Cemetery in Howesville.
