Sullivan Mary Jane Kistner, 78, of Sullivan passed away on Thursday September 6, 2012 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Oaktown, on October 29, 1933 to Rollie and Fidelis Owens Blann. She was a 1951 graduate of Oaktown High School, was retired from Miller's Merry Manor and American Latex and was a member of Shaker Prairie Christian Church. Preceding her in death are her parents, six brothers, Dick Blann, Rex Blann, Don Blann, Jerry Blann, Jack Blann, Jim Blann, and three sisters, Rita Ridgeway, Rollena Carrico, and Connie Strate Dawson. Survivors include two daughters, Nina Kistner of Sullivan and Lisa Jane Reynolds of Sullivan, two brothers Harold Blann, and Bill Blann, three sisters, Betty Blann, Kay Gilham and Sue Cox, special caregiver and adopted daughter Candy Mason of Sullivan. Services will be at the Holmes Memorial Chapel on Saturday September 8, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Harold Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of services. Burial will be at Oaktown Cemetery. The family suggests that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the Open Arms Christian Ministries of Switz City IN, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
