Alice Marie Trueblood 92 of the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin, Indiana passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. Alice was born February 22nd, 1920 to Cecil and Alice (Devitt) Stephenson in Sesser, Illinois. The family moved that year to Shelburn, Indiana. She graduated from High School in 1937 and from Brown Business College in 1939. She married Lyle Trueblood on October 13, 1940 while working as a stenographer for offices in the Sullivan County Court House. She retired in 1942 to start a family and manage a home office for her husband's business with Standard Oil Company and later, Trueblood Oil Company. They realized their dream when their four children graduated from college. After retirement and traveling; surgeries and poor health, Alice and Lyle moved to the Franklin United Methodist Community in 2007. They celebrated 69 years of marriage before Lyle's death on March 21, 2010. Alice was baptized in 1948; a member of the Church of Christ in Shelburn and Sullivan Westside in Sullivan. She was a Sunday School teacher and faithful volunteer. She was a 70 year member of the Order of Eastern Star: a Cub Scout leader and member of ladies 4-H Club. She is survived by one sister, Jean (Joe) Stephenson of Phoenix, AR; sons; Reverend Dr. Joseph (Sandee) Trueblood of Franklin, IN; Ted (Marion) Trueblood of Shelburn, IN; a daughter; Janet M. (David) Holladay of Baton Rouge, LA and a daughter-in-law; Charlene Hutchcroft Trueblood, deceased son Steven's widow. Twelve grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her devoted and loving husband, Lyle; grandson infant, Brant, her parents and three brothers; Bill, Bob, and Don Stephenson.

The Reverend Chris Jaekel will conduct a service Tuesday 11AM at the Westside Church of Christ 949 West County Road 200 North in Sullivan, Indiana. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30AM till service time at the church. Burial will be in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana.
