Russell E. Loveless, 85, of Sullivan, IN passed away at 9:50PM, on Saturday, February 11, 2012 in the Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born July 30, 1926 in Petersburg, IN to James B. Loveless and Effie V. Myers Loveless. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Charlotte Lucille Montague Loveless who he married August 19, 1950, a daughter Barbara L. Burke in 2010, and three brothers Ray, Kermit, and Wayne Loveless. He is survived by daughters Deb Gabbard (Eugene) of Carmel, IN., sons Tom of Sullivan, Rusty (Nancy) of Linton, John of Sullivan, and sisters Wilma Cormican (Dale) of Farmersburg, and Betty Schopemeyer (Marvin) of Brazil, 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Russell was a 1949 graduate of Farmersburg High School, a United Mineworkers Union retiree retiring from Amax Coal Company, an avid collector and farmer. Viewing will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in Holmes Memorial Chapel from 10:00AM until time of service at 12:00PM with Pastor Norman Santus officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
