Sullivan

Beloved mother and grandmother Loretta Unger, 93, of Sullivan passed away on Friday April 27, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana on March 8, 1919 to Lewis Brooks and Nellie Irene McDonald Brooks. Loretta was a 1937 graduate of Sullivan High School, she married Paul H Unger on June 18, 1939 and they were together for 51 years until his death on October 1, 1990. She was retired from American Latex as an Inspector and was a member of the First Christian Church of Sullivan. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, two sons Richard L Unger, and Paul L. Unger, a brother Lewis Brooks, and a grandson Paul L. Unger.

Survivors include two daughters Ruth Heape and her husband Neal of Sullivan, Edie Unger of Greenwood,two daughters-in-law Kathy Unger of Greenfield and Judy Unger of Rosedale, a sister in-law Meb Brooks of Sullivan, eleven grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held for Loretta at the Holmes Memorial Chapel on Tuesday May 1, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Revs. David Cox and Robert Unger officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery.
