Sullivan Wilma I. Simmons, 82, of Sullivan, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Miller's Merry Manor. Wilma was born in Linton, on November 2, 1929, to John and Clara (Peltier) Geatches. She was a graduate of Linton High and was a member of the North Court Church of Christ. She and her husband John, loved to go camping and traveled with a local camping group. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband John W. Simmons, March 19, 2006, a daughter Dianna Simmons Riley, two brothers Ralph and Wayne Geatches. Survivors include a daughter Pam (Phil) Jennings of Shelburn, two sisters Mildred Gish of Grand Rapids, MI, formerly of St. Bernice, Lorene Edwards of Indianapolis, seven grandchildren Jason Riley, Josh Riley, Andrea Riley, Deborah (Tom) Grubb, Jordan Riley, Nathaniel Riley, Sonya Bedwell Riley, six great grandchildren, one step great grandchild Services will be Thursday August 23, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Ron Schlatter officiating at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 pm and Thursday morning from 11 am until the time of services. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. The family suggest that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
