Laura L. Stockon, 49, of Sullivan, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was born in Sullivan on December 3, 1962 to Jerry and Lois (Jackson) Tharp. Laura was a 1981 graduate of North Central High School, She was an amazing lady in so many areas. Talented in landscaping, decorating and Loving her family as a devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She fought a very hard and courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. Survivors include her parents, husband of 30 years Sam Stockon whom she married May 28, 1982, a son Chase (Breanne) Stockon of Elizabethtown IN, a daughter Lacy (Cody) Gentry of Henderson KY, sister, Angela(Jim) Bush of Shelburn, Two grandchildren Hayden Gentry and Kaylan Gentry. Services celebrating Laura's life will be held at10:00 am Friday, Aug 24, at Crossroads Community Church in Sullivan, with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. Holmes Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
