Jerry L. Weaver, 68, of Hymera, IN., passed away August 3, 2013 in Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN. Jerry was born April 16, 1945 in Hymera to Cletus Walters and James Weaver. He is survived by wife Frances Benton Weaver, daughter Jamie Wilson, son James Weaver, step-daughters Lisa Smith and Rhonda Newman, step-son David Smith, 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Wanda Eastham, and brothers Wayne and Jimmy Walters. Jerry worked as an electrician for Peabody Coal Co., Inland Steel, Valparaiso, CBS, retiring from Ampacet. He was a member of Hymera Masonic Lodge #588, Hymera American Legion, and Hymera 1st Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 10:00am until time of service at 1:00pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan with Rev. Bill Benton officiating. Interment will follow at Stephens Cemetery in Lewis, IN. Masonic services will be at 11:00am. Military honors will be provided by Hymera, Shelburn, Sullivan American Legions, and Sullivan County VFW. Family invites all to attend a luncheon at Hymera Ruritan following committal services.
