Patsy Jewell Volk, 81 of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away with her family at her side at Breckenridge Health & Rehab on February 20, 2013. She was born August 25, 1931 in Pleasantville, IN to Sheldon and Sara Abrams Montgomery. She was a nurse at Miller's Merry Manor for 13 years, and retired from Mary Sherman Hospital. Patsy graduated from Carlisle High School in 1949, and was a graduate of Ivy Tech School of Nursing. Patsy is survived by daughters Cathy Roberts (Bob) of Sullivan and Cynthia Christie (Michael) of Dover, New Hampshire. Grandchildren Michael Christie, Holly Banfield, and Jeremy and Andrew Roberts. Great-grandchildren Cameron, Corbin and Caden Christie, Reagan and Mackenzie Banfield, and Nicholas, Jessie and Bryson Roberts. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, charter member of Beta Sigma Phi, and the Sullivan Moose Auxiliary. . She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 39 years Eugene "Pokey" Volk in 1989, brothers Chester, Gerthel, Dean and Bob Montgomery, sisters Phyllis Falconbury and Joyce Grass.

Services will be Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00AM in Holmes Memorial Chapel with Father Frank Renner officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00PM with Rosary at 7:00PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan.
