Imogene Whitman, 85, of Sullivan passed away Friday August 2, 2013 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan. She was born on April 30, 1928 in Graysville to Floyd and Helen (Poe) Wilson. Imogene was a 1946 graduate of Graysville High, a member of the First Christian Church, charter member of the Kitchen Keys for 63 years, the Get Together Club, 23 year member of Rebekah Lodge and past District Deputy, a seamstress at Gossards & Carl Engles Mens Store on the square. She was preceded in death by her son Danny Eugene Whitman, a granddaughter Natalie Rene Wood. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Janet (Randy) Soules of Terre Haute, Karen (Bob) Bowen of Sullivan, two grandchildren Shane Foutz, Justin Toction and his wife Erin Cockrum, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 6, 2013 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Cox officiating. Visitation will be 4-8:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will take place in Center Ridge Cemetery.
