Mark Marshall, 46, of Dugger went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday July 9, 2013. He was born on June 21, 1967 in Sullivan County to Vernie and Chris Ruff Marshall. Mark was a Custody Sergeant with the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility, an avid outdoorsman, a loving father and husband who loved to cook for his family. He was preceded in death by his mother Chris Marshall. Surviving members are his father Vernie Marshall of Jasonville, his wife, whom he married on July 7, 2001, Cathy Layman Marshall of Dugger, three children Wesley Marshall and his wife Abby of Linton, Katie Ludwig and her husband Ethan of Linton, Rachel Jarrell and her husband Jason of McMinnville, TN, two brothers James Marshall of WI, Robbie Marshall of Sullivan, two sisters, Amy Burdette of Linton, Lori Marshall of Terre Haute, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services for Mark will be Friday July 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Dyer officiating at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Longs Chapel Cemetery. Mark's wife requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the United Christian Academy at Whosoever Will Full Gospel Church at 7586 E. State Street in Dugger, IN 47848. Services have been entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
