Wayne Jackson, 73, of Sullivan, passed away at Miller's Merry Manor, in Sullivan, on Wednesday April 24, 2013. He was born at home in Knox Co. near Sandborn IN on March 7, 1940 to Raymond and Hazel Wehemier Jackson. Wayne was a 1958 graduate of Sullivan High, a graduate of Automotive Diesel School in Nashville TN and a farmer in Sullivan Co. all of his life, he was a member of Shaker Prairie Christian Church where he served as an Elder, a member and Past Master of the Carlisle Lodge #3 F&AM, Carlisle Odd Fellows Lodge, Sullivan Elks Lodge #911, he served on the Sullivan Co. Aviation Board, the Sullivan Co Fair Board, the Sullivan Co. Credit Union, Sullivan Co Soil and Water Conservation Board and he was instrumental in helping with the rafting trips that the Sullivan Co eighth graders would participate in. Survivors include his wife of 51 years Judi Finch Jackson whom he married on June 17, 1962, a son Todd (Rhonda) of Sullivan a daughter Paige Shake (Ron) of Sullivan, a sister Suzanne Boles (Ron) of Russellville KY, four grandchildren Alexandria Jackson, Reed Jackson, Taylor Shake and Jackson Shake. Services for Wayne will be at 10 AM on Saturday April 27, 2013 at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev Harold Hatfield and Randy Pigg officiating. Visitation will be on Friday 4-8 PM with Masonic lodge services from Carlisle Lodge #3 beginning at 7 PM. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in New Lebanon.
