Jerol Jay "Jerry" Wright, 76, of Sullivan passed away on Monday September 29, 2014 at Millers Merry Manor. He was born in Vigo County on September 15, 1938 to James Ross and Catherine Strohm Wright. Jerry was a 1956 graduate of Riley High School, a member of the Melody Boys Quartet, an Elder in the Church of Christ of Farmersburg, retired from Pfizer and coached baseball as well as officiated basketball and baseball. Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother Jon Wright and sister in-law Donna Wright.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Esther Bedwell Wright, whom he married on August, 28, 1959, a son Terry J (Lydia) of NY, two daughters Tammy J (Greg) Siner of Sullivan, Tricia J Wright and her companion Glen Nash of Sullivan, three brothers Jeff Wright of Farmersburg, JR (Julie) Wright of Terre Haute, a sister Beverly (Billy) Stewart of Shepardsville, a sister in-law Jeanie Wright of Farmersburg, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services for Jerry will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 3, 2014 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mitch Hoesman officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
