Lelia Marcella Spires, 89, of Sullivan passed away on Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born in Mountinview AR on November 19, 1924 to Charles and Maggie Harmon Vanoven . Marcella was a homemaker who loved and cherished all her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a great mother in-law and always had time for friends and family. Preceded in death are her parents, a brother Frank Vanoven, and two sisters Roberta Sanders, Marie Wallace.

Survivors include her sons Earl (Ellen) Spires of Carlisle, Harry A (Virginia) Spires of Vincennes, a daughter Wanda Miller of Linton, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Private Services were held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Mount Zion Cemetery with Rev. Brian Barrett officiating. Services were entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
