Rhonda L. Byerly Arnett, 58, of Perrysville, and formerly of Sullivan IN, passed away at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born March 7, 1956 to Paul F. Byerly and Claudine Parker Byerly. She was preceded in death by her parents. She had worked at Theodore Rich in Terre Haute, 500 Platolene in Sullivan, Goodwill of Terre Haute and Jeffrey Alan's also in Terre Haute. Rhonda was also a caregiver for her parents for many years. Survivors include her sister Paula D. Byerly Warnick, Terre Haute, a nephew Kyle (and his wife Laura) Warnick also of Terre Haute and a great nephew Zach of Farmersburg. Rhonda was very fortunate to have Danny and Debbie Moore, special friends in Perrysville, who so graciously opened up their beautiful home to her where she chose to reside the last several years. Rhonda especially enjoyed Canasta, Scrabble, Yahtzee, Cribbage, "May I" and Words with Friends. She looked forward to "Porch Night" every Wednesday evening, a special get together with her close friends Danny, Debbie, Donna, Rachel, Linda, Susan and Shirley. In essence, Rhonda was a beautiful tree under whose shade her family and friends never expected to sit. She provided fruits, flowers and shade to others without expecting anything in return. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Rhonda greatly appreciated each and every one who visited, sent cards, phone calls, Facebook acknowledgements, prayers and all expressions of compassion and acts of kindness shown to her during her illness. Because of Rhonda's devotion and affection for animals, if friends so desire, special memorial contributions may be made to Rhonda's charity of choice, the Sullivan County Humane Society, 2425 North Section St., Sullivan, IN 47882. A memorial celebration of life is planned at a later date. Holmes memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
