Anna K. Croney, of Hymera, passed away at 9:45am on Monday, October 12, 2015, in Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan, Indiana. Annie was born April 25, 1924, to Michael and Elizabeth Hoban Croney, in Bruceville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Jeanette Croney, Donetta Dean Barry, and brothers Edgar Eugene Croney, Michael Croney Jr., and Carlton Laverne Croney. Survivors include nieces Retta J. Slack and Beth A. Slack, a nephew Terry L. Slack (Vonciele L.), a great-nephew Schuyler Slack and a great-niece Taleah J. Slack. She was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church, in Hymera, and a great fan of girls' basketball attending many games at Indiana State and North Central High School. If you went to Bethel UMC you could expect a card in the mail on your birthday, or anniversary, from her. There will be a private service at a later date. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
