Nancy Gambill

Nancy Holt Boone Gambill, slipped into the sweet presence of Jesus on Monday, October 27, 2025 at The Waters of Sullivan, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy began her journey in life on July 14, 1932 in Oaktown, Indiana, born to Charles E. Holt and Helen M. Dunn Holt. She was a 1950 graduate of Farmersburg High School. Nancy was a longtime member of Sullivan First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and shared her talent on the piano. She was well remembered for her invaluable dedication to her work family and friends at Miller's Merry Manor where you would find her warm smile and compassion a comfort for the residents as well as fellow coworkers for 50 years. Her favorite thing to do was prepare a buffet style meal for family and friends. She was well noted for her Twinkie cakes. She married her loving husband, Harold S. Gambill on July 14, 1984.

Those awaiting her Heavenly arrival were her parents; husband, Harold Gambill; siblings, John Holt, Ruth Holt, Naomi Holt, Dorothy Holt and Helen Suttle; bonus daughter, Jean Gambill and daughter in-law, Sheila Boone.

Those here to cherish her memory are her children, Mike Boone (Becky Farmer), Tim Boone (Becky), Darrell Boone and Denise Lisman (John) along with bonus children, Lela Street (Bob), Janis Lynch (Bill) and Kathy Gambill; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, along with several extended family and friends.

Respects may be paid on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 11:00 am. until time of service at 1:00 pm. with Dr. Mike Rotman and Norman Santus officiating.

Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.
