Nancy Ann Mcclure

Nancy Ann McClure, known as Maw, peacefully passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 90 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Born on September 21, 1933, in Sullivan, Indiana, Nancy was the beloved daughter of Seigel Wright and Eleanor Marshall.

On March 10, 1951, she married her high school sweetheart, Don McClure, and together they liked to work in their yard, host family get- togethers and spend the winter months in Naples, Florida. She loved going on walks with her dog and her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her weekly card games with  “the girls”.

Left to honor her memory are her loving children, Jamie Garry (Danny) and Jeff McClure (Anna Marie); her grandchildren, Amy Garry VanVactor (Davy), Josh Garry (Mandy), Lindsey Garry (Dustin Clouse), Melissa McClure Walden (Robert Melville), Jill McClure Buddle (Neil), Joey McClure (Casey) and Ann McClure Okulovich (Travis); brother-in-law, Gill Irvin; sisters-in-law, Shirley McClure Johnson (Dale), Sharon McClure Swayze and Tunia McClure. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Seigel Wright and Eleanor Marshall; her sister Claudette Irvin; her brother Billy Wright, who passed away in a car accident at age 17; and her husband, who died July 25, 2007.

She also leaves behind special friends of the family, Sally Boaz (Sam), Abe Nasser (Carole) and Charlie and Rae Bracken.

In honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, a private graveside prayer with immediate family will be held at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan. The compassionate professionals at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan, Indiana, are assisting the family during this difficult time.
