Nancy Sue Monk

Nancy Monk, 76, of Jasonville passed away on July 19, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on July 15, 1942 in Cory IN, to Raymond and Patricia (Utter) Adams. She was a 1961 graduate of Cory High School. Nancy had married Junior Monk on June 1, 1963; had retired from Owens & Brockway in 2003 and Sullivan County Jail in 2014. She and her husband were involved in the Quarter Horse Association and numerous Saddle Clubs. Nancy loved watching her children and grandchildren show their horses, loved to sew, and watching basketball. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Junior, a brother Raymond Adams, and a sister Viola Adams.

Survivors include her son Dean (Nicky) Monk and family of Dugger, daughter Patti (Chris) Brenden & Family of Jasonville, many nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate her life will be held privately at a later date. In Lieu of flowers and cards the family wishes for donations to be made to: Monroe County Special Olympics Equestrian. Send to Patti Brenden, 3111 N County Rd 900 E, Jasonville IN 47438. Her granddaughter, BobbiSue Hayden will hand deliver donations to them. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
