Nancy Beth Klutts Nichols, 60, Graysville, went to the arms of Jesus on June 15, 2016 at home after having cancer for 6 years. She was born February 21, 1956, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Joseph and Betty Southard Klutts. Nancy was a member of the Indiana Elementary Music Teachers Association, Indiana General Music Teachers Association, Indiana Music Teachers Association, Music Educators Association, Southwest Sullivan Educators Association, Indiana State Teachers Association, National Educators Association, was a member of Kingsley Memorial United Methodist, Director of Children's Music at Kingsley for several years, sang in the Kingsley Church Choir for 36 years, played the piano and guitar at Kingsley for congregational singing and in the praise band, led music at Kingsley Bible School for several years, gave piano lessons for several years, and taught K - 8 General/Choral 2 years in Northeast Sullivan School Corporation and 29 years in Southwest Sullivan School Corporation. Nancy taught at Hymera, Farmersburg, Graysville, Carlisle, and Sullivan Elementary Schools. Nancy was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Sullivan #188. Nancy was also very active in the Emmaus Community where she went on Walk #21 in Clay City, Indiana. She has worked over 20 Emmaus Walks mostly on the music team. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandma. She was also very devoted Christian sharing her faith with everyone she encountered. Her positive love and faith affected many lives at school, church, and in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law, Russell and Mary Nichols, and a brother-in law, Thad Corrigan. Survivors include her husband, Rudy Nichols, the love of her life, who she married 35 years ago on August 9, 1980; one daughter Jobeth (Trevor) Johnson, Columbus, IN and one son Jonathan (Madelon) Nichols, Dugger, Indiana; three grandchildren, Krissa Nichols, Ethan Nichols, and Olivia Johnson; two brothers, Tom Klutts, Florence, Alabama, and Jerry Klutts (Jean Heaton), Rosedale, IN; a sister-in-law, Carol Klutts, Florence, Alabama; three brothers and sister-in-laws, Riley and Marilyn Nichols, Randy and Shelley Nichols, Ronny and Mary Alice Nichols, all from Graysville; and one sister-in law, Robin Corrigan from Sullivan; one special aunt, Jean Jones; and several nieces and nephews Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan with Rev. Jerry McIntyre officiating. Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2016, at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made Kenneth Copeland Minsitries. Holmes Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
