Noman Martin

Norman L. Martin, 88, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away at his residence at 9:30am, April 6, 2015. Norman was born October 11, 1926 in Sullivan County to Lawrence Martin and Eula Moore Martin. Survivors include his wife Mary Joan Miller Martin, who he married October 4, 1953, daughters Debra Jeffries, Vicki (Jim) Freihaut and Ann Boyll, a sister Marilyn Zimmerman, six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters Doris Johnson and Roberta Thompson, and step-mother Esther Harding Martin. Norman, and his wife, owned and operated Martin Mill and Elevator, in Shelburn, for over 40 years, having taken over the business from his father. He was a 1944 graduate of Shelburn High School. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 1:00pm at the Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, with Pastor Norman Santus officiating.
