Norma Barker

Norma Tislow Barker, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on April 24, 2014 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan. She was born in Knox County on April 14, 1927 to Roy and Maize (Vantlin) Tislow. She was a 1945 graduate of Monroe City High School, had married Jim Barker on February 22, 1948 and a member of Oakland Church of Christ. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Jim on November 11, 2011, a son Mitch Barker in 1975, and a daughter Angie Barker in 1989. Survivors include a son Travis and his wife Kathy Barker of Sullivan, two brothers Jack and Don Tislow, both of Carlisle, a sister Verona Kanae, grandchildren Holly Wessol, Trevor Wessol, great grandchildren Taylor Barker and Hailey Barker. Services will be on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle with Brother Allan Griggs officiating. Services are entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.
