Norma M Mason

Norma M Mason, 89, of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Sullivan County on September 28, 1926 to Carl Knotts and Gertrude (Coleman) Knotts. Norma was a 1944 graduate of Carlisle High School, had worked for American Latex for 26 years; was a member of the Sullivan First United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, the card club, Gill Twp. Home ec club, Missionary club, and sewing club. She loved to square dance participate in activities with the church and travel with her late husband George Mason Jr. who preceded her in death in 2004. Other family preceded in death are her parents, her brother Dick Knotts, twin sister Erma Dugan, sisters Ruth Blice Showecker, Lois Monroe, Helen Leak, son in-laws Walt Minglin and Jesse Daugherty.

Survivors include her daughters, Pam Daugherty of Danville, Carla Minglin of Terre Haute, Linda (John) Ham of Sullivan, a sister in-law Mary Lou Mason of Sullivan, six grandchildren, Daniel (Patti) Minglin, Angela (Thomas) Balitewicz, Jeffrey (Shirley) Ham, Kent (Carrie) Ham, Anne Stevens and her fiancé Brandon Mussoni, J Springer (Kristi) Daugherty, and several great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11a.m. on Monday May 2, 2016 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Benjamin Cassiday officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1- 5:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, New Lebanon.
