Norman Truccano, 65, of Sullivan, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born in Highland IL, on August 13, 1956 to Dominic Truccano and Anita (LeBlanc) Truccano. Norman was a 1974 graduate of Collinsville IL High School. He received his Bachelors degree in both Arts and Science from Eastern IL University. He completed his Masters Degree from ISU. He retired after 24 years from the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency in St. Louis. Norman was a loving family man who enjoyed life, spending all of his free time coaching his children in their sporting events, soccer, basketball, and baseball. Attending all of his sons’ extra curricular activities was his life. He could usually be found outside his home working in the yard and maintaining the grounds. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Leah Szakielo.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Angela (Ferree) Truccano, whom he married on March 5, 1988, his sons Grant Truccano of Sullivan, Alex (Kirstin) Truccano of Lebanon PA, and a sister Leslie (John) Ban of Edwardsville IL, and several nieces nephews and extended family.
Norman’s wishes were to have a graveside service, however, because of freezing temperatures, it will be held at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a gathering of friends and family to celebrate his life and share memories with each other at his residence at 1436 N County Road 600 W, Sullivan IN, following the burial at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The celebration will last until 6 p.m.
