Opal Leah Tolbert

Opal Leah Tolbert, 84, of Sullivan, passed away on December 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born on February 17, 1933 in Rolla, MO. to Perry Stogsdill and Elizabeth (Boulware) Stogsdill. She was a 1951 graduate of Rolla High School, enjoyed quilting, cross-stitching, and crossword puzzles. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward in 1997, brother Raymond Stogsdill, sisters Leona Baldwin and Lorene Spencer.

Survivors include her sons Brian (Deanne) Tolbert of Farmersburg, David Tolbert, St. Louis MO, brother James Stogsdill, Dexter, MO, sisters Ruby Hufstedler, Rolla MO, Helen Patton, Rolla MO, Bonnie Curtis, Bristol VA, grandchild Josh Tolbert, and great grandchildren, Halee Tolbert, Bryce Tolbert, Bryan Tolbert, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held for Opal at 11:00 a.m. CST on Friday December 29, 2017 at the Lakeview Cemetery Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL. Holmes Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
