Patricia Ann Wheeler

Patricia Ann Wheeler, 83, of Sullivan, passed away on Wednesday August 20, 2014. She was born in Sullivan on March 3, 1931 to Roy and Oqual (Blevins) Willis. She was a homemaker; she worked at Smith Jewelry Store, Donnelly's Clothing Store and IV Tech Day Care. She was a member of Sullivan First Christian Church and Missionary Unit # 6. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Wheeler on November 16, 1988, a brother Bill Willis, two sisters Ruth Moore and Alice Christy. Survivors include her daughters Janet Bryan and her husband Dennis of Greensboro NC, Linda Poole and her husband Joe of Sullivan, a brother Floyd Willis of Sullivan, two sisters Rachel Christy-Daugherty of Carlisle, Barbara Brown of New Mexico, a sister in-law Helen Morrison of Owensboro KY, grandchildren Josh and Joseph Smith of Sullivan, John (Heather) Shonkwiler of Georgetown IN, Stacy Laswell of Carmel IN, Bob Shonkwiler of Sullivan, Shane Bryan of Greensboro NC, great-grandchildren Jacob Smith of Palm Coast FL, Elyssa Brune of Carmel IN, Nathan and Lane Laswell of Carmel IN, Dean and Amos Shonkwiler of Georgetown IN, Madden Bryan of Greensboro NC, and Colton Bryan of Greensboro NC. Services for Patricia will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 26, 2014 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Revs Dale Wise and David Brown officiating. Visitation will be on Monday 4-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made the First Christian Church Ladies Missionary Unit # 6, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
