Paul E. Cox, entered this life on February 4, 1956, and left this world on August 11, 2026. To those who knew him, Paul was a steady presence, a devoted family man, a loving husband, and a true example of what a Husband, Dad and Papaw should be. Throughout his seventy years, Paul’s heart was always open to others, offering a helping hand whenever it was needed. His kindness touched so many. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and was a graduate of Schulte High School. After graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Paul was an employee with G.E. Aviation as a Machinist and Calibrator for many dedicated years, until his retirement.

He married his loving wife of 43 years, Terri Lyday, on May 21,1983. His love for his family was the guiding force in his life. His devotion wasn’t simply expressed through words, but through every action, small or large that he took to support those closest to him. Whether sharing laughter or offering advice in times of need, Paul’s steady presence was a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to call him family.

Paul shared his passion with countless young lives as a dedicated coach of both softball and baseball. His encouragement, patience, and sportsmanship not only built strong teams, but also built friendships and confidence that stretched far beyond the diamond.

Paul’s selfless nature extended to the many friends and neighbors, whom he was always ready to lend support. Paul’s generosity and reliability touched many lives over his lifetime.

As a loving husband, Paul demonstrated tenderness, partnership, and dedicated commitment. The grace and love he brought to his marriage dailey provided strength through good and challenging times. His dedication to Megan and Jennifer was unmeasurable. He led by example and taught them to be strong and independent. Memories of camping, softball tourneys, his love for classic rock, and giving history lessons was forever imprinted in their hearts.

While the loss of Paul leaves a void that cannot be filled, his legacy of devotion, kindness, and strength will remain with all who had the privilege of loving him. He leaves behind a legacy not only in the stories remembered and the games played, but also in the hearts of those he loved.

Those that preceded him are his parents; daughter, Jennifer Cox, along with a brother, David Cox.

Those here to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Terri Cox; daughter, Megan Cox (Jason Burton); sister, Carolyn Tapy (Jay); grandchildren, Ryker Cox, Justice Girdler, Kaston Girdler, McKinley Goodman and Mia Burton. Along with his closest friend, Keith Keller (Patty) whom he loved like a brother.

Services to celebrate a life so very well lived, family and friends will gather with visitation on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Holmes Memorial Chapel from 11:00 am. until time of service at 1:00 pm. with Minister Norman Santus officiating.
