Pauline Polly Harris

Opal Pauline "Polly" Boone Harris, 99, of Carlisle passed away on Friday December, 6, 2013 at Oak Village Nursing Home in Oaktown. She was born in Carlisle on February 28, 1914 to Jesse and Flossie Bell Howard Boone. She was a 1934 graduate of Carlisle High School, a homemaker, a member of Carlisle First Christian Church, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, loved to Quilt, play Bingo, loved her church family, her own family, she had married John Wilson Harris on August 8, 1936 and he preceded her in death in 2002, along with her two sons Ronald Harris, Tony Harris, brothers Harold Boone, Howard Boone, James Boone, Tommy Boone, sisters, Mary Hardesty, Lois Edds, and grandson Bret Bond.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Carolyn) Harris of Raleigh NC, Ray Harris of Vincennes, three daughters, Janet (Bob) Bond of Oaktown, Wanda (Wayne) Spitzer of Faywood NM, Linda Reitmeyer of Noblesville, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren.

Services will be at the Carlisle First Christian Church on Wednesday December 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery. Services are being handling by Holmes Memorial Chapel.
