Perry "Peanut" Michael Hauger

Perry Michael “Peanut” Hauger passed from this life on Tuesday November, 5, 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones. Peanut was born one of 13 children to Lloyd and Elizabeth Pierson Hauger , on August 25, 1953 in Sullivan County.

He was a North Central graduate who also was certified in HVAC from Ivy Tech. Peanut was a truck driver for various companies over his lifetime, Frey Miller being his last employer. He retired from Great Dane after years of dedicated service. He married his loving wife of 40 years, Ann Sears on May 18, 1984.

He was a devoted loving, caring family man, who cherished his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with great pride. He was always a helping hand and friend to all. He enjoyed carpentry and working with his hands. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnny Vaughn; siblings, Jim, Phillip, Tom, Denny, Gail and Fred Hauger.

Surviving him are his loving wife, Ann Hauger;  sons, Bill Kennedy (Tena) of Terre Haute, George Peters ( Sammy) of Terre Haute;  daughters, Angela Rindell of Colorado, and bonus daughter, Notasha Barr;  siblings, Ronnie Hauger (Nancy) of Terre Haute,  Lester Hauger (Dawnetta) of Shelburn,  Marivn Hauger (Alice) of Linton,  Janice Dillinger of Illinois, Velma Stout and Becky Hauger of Shelburn; sister in-law, Sheila Hauger of Shelburn;  several grand and great grand-children, nieces and nephews. The family is grateful for family friend Lynn Orr (Tim).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
