Phyllis Meng Smith, 91, of Sullivan passed away at her son’s home on Tuesday October 27, 2020. She was born in Linton on November 2, 1928 to Ermil Dyer and Jessie (Watson) Dyer. Phyllis graduated in 1946 from New Lebanon High School in 1946, she had worked at Bill Donnellys Mens Store for years, and had attended Rose Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands John W Meng, and her second husband Walter Smith, brothers Bob and Bill Dyer, and a sister Kate Copeland and a great grandson Aaron Arnold.

Survivors include her son John E Meng and his wife Linda, a step son Mike Smith and his wife Linda of Powell WY, daughter Jane Loudenburg and her husband Brian, of Hurricane WV. and sisters, Rosella Moss, of Linton, Sharon Marquis of Terre Haute, 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several other family and friends.

Services will be at 12 noon on Friday October 30, 2020 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jan Bond officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flower the family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contribution may be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
