Ralph Eugene Irvin departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Ralph began his life journey on February 19,1947 in Sullivan.  He was the son of Ernest and Gertha Hornbeck Irvin. He was a 1965 graduate of Sullivan High School. Following graduation on October 2, 1966 he married his highschool sweetheart Pam Huff. They loved and lived life for 58 years side by side. He proudly served his country with the US Army, where he served a tour of duty in the Vietnam War from October 10,1967 until July 4,1968.

Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always made his family priority in life. He was a life member of VFW Post #2459, Sullivan American Legion Post #139, and Sullivan Elks Club 911. Ralph enjoyed the camaraderie of his buddies at the VFW. He also enjoyed golfing trips with friends and was a member of the ‘Rinky Dinks” golf club. Ralph earned his Associates Degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech Community College. He was a natural at understanding how mechanical things worked, he had the ability to repair or improve most anything.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gertha Irvin; sister, Sue Bonebrake; son in-law, Mike Bice and his father and mother in-law, Wayne and Maxine Huff, along with a nephew, John Bonebrake.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pam Irvin; daughter Cami Bice-Hargis (Shawn), special daughter, Angie Matheis (Larry); grandson, Camron Bice, special granddaughter, Olivia Luigs; sister, Nancy Padgett of Newburgh.; nephews, Jim Bonebrake of Sullivan and Michael Padgett, of Evansville.; nieces, Deborah Martin of Kentucky and Angela Thompson of Covington Ga. along with many VFW close friends and golfing buddies.

Graveside services will be on Friday, April 4,2025 at 11:00 am. at Johnson Cemetery. Minister Norman Santus will officiate along with Sullivan County Honor Guard giving military rites.
