Randy W. Bedwell

Randall "Randy" Bedwell, 70, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed into eternal rest on August 19, 2026 in the comfort of his home. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Randy began his life journey on March 18,1956 one of 8 children born to Rollie and Betty Bedwell. He was a 1973 graduate of Sullivan High School. Randy was a proud Union Carpenter, until his retirement. He married his loving wife, Susan Detering on June 1, 1987, she preceded him in 2018.

Randy’s love for his family was boundless, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time making memories with his son's, and grandchildren. He was the fun “Uncle” and was always devoted to those he called friends. You would find Randy doing what he loved, watching his favorite old western’s, Gunsmoke and many others. The memories he leaves behind will be cherished for a lifetime.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Rollie Bedwell; his wife, Susan Bedwell; his son, Brock Bedwell; his sister, Debbie Bedwell; his brother, Joe Bedwell; and his brother, David Bedwell.

Randy is survived by his mother, Betty Bedwell; his son, Josh Bedwell and Jaclyn; his grandchildren, Lane, Finlee, Jennings, Raleigh, and Jordan Bedwell; his brothers, Mark Bedwell and Abbie, James Bedwell and Jody, Butch Bedwell and Susan, and Bob Bedwell; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Followers of Christ Baptist Church, Carlisle,Indiana. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. until the service at 1:00 pm. Minister Ray Telschow will be officiant. Burial will follow at Indian, Prairie Cemetery.
