Raymond Gene Kinnett

Raymond Gene Kinnett, 77, of Sullivan passed away on September 21, 2014 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Graysville on January 21, 1937 to Leo "Squire" and LaVera Shew Kinnett. Raymond was a graduate of Graysville High School in 1955, a Navy Veteran, a retired United Mine Worker having worked in several mines, and a member of the Operating Engineers local 841, and a member of the Sullivan American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Brenda Marlene Kinnett in 2003.

Surviving members of his family are his sons Toby (Jeanne) Kinnett of McClean VA, Todd (Christal) Kinnett of Hymera, daughters Tammie (Jay) Padgett of Merom, Teri Latta of Sullivan, a brother Gary (Shirley) Kinnett of Indianapolis, sisters Pat Crawford of Crown Point, Donna ( Eugene) Sparks of Phoenix AZ, Cheryl (Bill) Alsman of Morganfield KY, and eleven grandchildren.

Service for Raymond will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 26, 2014 at Holmes memorial Chapel with Rev. David Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Johnson Cemetery. Military services will be given by the Hymera, Shelburn, and Sullivan, American Legions and VFW.
