Rhonda Sebring Crooks, 87, of Shelburn, passed away on April 14, 2026 at The Waters of Sullivan. She began her life journey on February 28,1939 in Sullivan, Indiana, the daughter of the late John and Cecila Sebring. She was a 1957 graduate of Shelburn High School, continuing her education, earning her Masters Degree in teaching from Indiana State University.

Rhonda was a devout member of the, Shelburn United Methodist Church. Rhonda married the love of her life, Wilbur Eugene Crooks, on June 28, 1959, they spent 63 years together, raising 2 children and loving life.

Her teaching career spans 30 years of sharing her passion for science. Dugger Jr. High was where she created an engaging classroom, while building strong relationships with her students. Rhonda’s faithful, dedicated commitment to her family leaves a legacy unmatched for her family to carry forward.

Those awaiting her Heavenly arrival were her parents, and her loving husband, Wilbur Crooks.

Family here to cherish her memory are her children, John (Lea Anne) Crooks and Kelly (Dennis) Walker; grandchildren, Dylan (Jess) Walker, Adara (Jacob) Henson and Brennan (Paige) Crooks; great-grandchildren, Declan and Stella Walker,  Harland and Royce Crooks, and Ayla Henson, along with extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate a life well lived, will be on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Holmes Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm. until time of service at 3:00pm. Minister Julie Putnam, will be officiating.
