Robert Livingston, 98, of Sullivan IN formerly of Macomb IL and Johnstown PA passed away on Tuesday August 21, 2018, at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan IN. He was born in Johnstown PA on July 27, 1920, to Edward Livingston and Matilda (Hostetter) Livingston. Robert was a 1938 graduate of Westmont High School and a WW II Veteran. He worked in the Baltimore shipyards as a pipe fitter for Liberty ships prior to entering the Army in 1944 and was a Master Plumber in Johnstown for 50 years. He attended Geneva College, earning his BS in Human Resources at the age of 78 and his MS in Organizational Leadership at the age of 82. He continued working toward a PhD in Administration and Leadership for Not-for-Profit Organizations at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Robert was a Member of First Lutheran Church, Johnstown, and a lifetime member of the American Legion, Experimental Aircraft Association, Northern Nut Growers Association, and numerous trade and professional organizations. Preceding him in death are his wife Anna (Webber) Livingston and son Jeffery Livingston.
Survivors include his son Michael Livingston ( Deb) of San Diego CA, daughters Jeanne Lambert (Richard) of Bethesda MD, Susan Baughman (Tank)of Lynchburg VA, Joan Orr (Bill) of Carlisle IN, daughter-in-law Margaret Livingston Gindlesperger, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
A luncheon in Robert's honor will be served at the Court Plaza Community Room, Sullivan, on Tuesday September 18 at noon.
