Robert Joe Mccammon

Robert J. McCammon, "Bobby Joe" 71 of Sullivan, passed away in Terre Haute Regional Hospital, at 7:40pm, on June 21, 2016. He was born on February 20, 1945 in Sullivan to Billy Joe McCammon and Lucille Hall McCammon. Survivors include his wife Brenda Andre McCammon, sons John(Delaila), Chris (Mindy), Carl , step children Kelly Atkinson (Chris) and Keith Gambill, Brothers Lloyd McCammon, Ray (Trudi), Mark (Pam), Sister Connie (Joe) Holder, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Sullivan Masonic Lodge #263, Terre Haute Valley of Scottish Rite, Church of Christ, Experimental Aviation Association Chapter 83, 21 year member and past president of Aviation Board, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Loved his family, loved flying, loved farming, loved his church family, greatest accomplishment succeeded his father Billy Joe as song leader at North State Street Church of Christ. Preceding him in death are his parents, Billy Joe, Lucille, and Lois E. McCammon, brother Donald K. McCammon. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2016 from 4:00pm til 8:00pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Services will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Brothers Allan Griggs and Graham Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mr. Zion Cemetery in New Lebanon with a flyover of several local pilots paying tribute with the "Missing Man Formation". In lieu of flowers family suggest that donations be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2016 from 4:00pm til 8:00pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Services will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Brothers Allan Griggs, Mitch Hoesman, and Graham Miller officiating.
