Robert "Bob" "Tyke" Rogers, of Farmersburg passed away on June 18, 2016 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 2, 1942 to Donald and Lucille Rogers in Watseka, Illinois. He was an Army Veteran, a millwright, member of the Sullivan American Legion Post 139, Sullivan Masonic Lodge F&AM 263, Zorah Shrine, Greene County Shrine Club, Sullivan County Shrine Club; the Color Guard Funeral Detail. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife, Shirlene in 2014. Survivors include his son Richard (Jane) Rogers of Fairbanks, two daughters Julie (Jeff) Thomas of Farmersburg, Sherri Rogers of Shelburn, brother Donald (Anna) Rogers, sisters Sue Sullivan, Debbie Merriweather, Jody Rogers, seven grandchildren Dustin Rogers, Nicole Rogers, Danielle Thomas, Tod Lebeda, Samantha Thomas, Brianna Lebeda, and James Thomas; four great grandchildren Alyxandria, Brooklyn, Braeleigh, and Addilyn. Services will be at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Pastor Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic Services beginning at 7:30p.m. Military Services will be given by the Sullivan, Hymera, and Shelburn American Legion Posts and the Sullivan VFW.
