Roberta Bertie Osburn

Roberta "Bertie" Maxine Osburn, 89, of Shelburn passed away on Thursday September 24, 2015 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Lawrence County IL on September 8, 1926 to Leo Robert and Linda Frances (Stone) Hudspeth. She was a 1944 graduate of Bridgeport High School, a graduate of Vincennes University School of Nursing and was a RN for over 50 years. After retirement she volunteered as a Nurse to help the people of Haiti. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelburn and loved to travel. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Francis, James, Marvin and Bernard, sisters Kathryn Cox Norma Lynch and Doris Ann Lynch.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years Earl Osburn whom she married on July 30, 1948, two sons Kenneth (Jan) Osburn, Keith (Karen) Osburn, four grandchildren Erik, Kristen, Garth and Finn Osburn.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday September 28, 2015 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with pastor Barney LaFollette officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. burial will take place at Center Ridge Cemetery.
