Roger Andre

Roger André, 78, of Sullivan, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Miller's Merry Manor with his family at his side. Born in rural Sullivan County on June 13, 1939, to Louie André and Maxine Helen (Jewell) André, Roger was a 1957 graduate of Union High School. He was a member of the First Christian of Sullivan and the Sullivan Elks Club. He worked as the Superintendent of the Sullivan Elks Golf Course since 1979.

Survivors include: Nancy (Myers) André, his wife of 57 years, whom he married on August 22, 1959; his son David (Carole) André of Sullivan; his daughter Lori Johnson (Tom Bodkin) of St. Louis, MO; sisters Brenda McCammon and Barb (Gary) Mitchell; grandchildren Ashley Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Derek André, and Caylen André; and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Roger will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017, at Holmes Memorial Chapel with David Cox officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 1:00-6:00 p.m.. An Elks memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Center Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Sullivan Elks Cancer Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
