Ronnie Wayne Weir, 65, of Hymera passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 in IU Methodist Hospital as the result of a motorcycle accident. Ron was born March 27, 1951 in Terre Haute, to Paul Dick and Katherin Doyne Trueblood Weir. Survivors include his wife of almost 44 years Jackie Trump Weir, daughter Brook Orsburn (friend Bill Crooks), sons Travis Weir (Nicole) and Chad Weir (Julie), brother Tom Weir (Reggie), sister Judy Johnson (Leon), Janet Easton a special aunt to Ron, grandchildren Zachary, Nathan, Jace Weir, Anna and Adam Orsburn, Hayden and Hope Crooks, special friends Steve and Leeann Nickless and several other good friends, plus several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ron was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Shelburn and a graduate of Honey Creek High School. He was a man not only loved by his family but men who worked with him at Pfizer, Peabody Coal Co., and Zachary Construction at the Cayuga Power Plant, finally retiring August 3, 2015, and those who traveled showing horses as he supported his wife and children, even though he didn't show himself. He was, also, in the first graduating class from Ivy Tech Terre Haute Campus. Visitation for Ron will be Friday, October 28, 2016 at the 1st Baptist Church in Shelburn from 10:00am until time of service at 2:00pm with Rev.Ben Wetherington and Norman Santus officiating. Interment will follow in the K of P Cemetery in Hymera.
