Sandra Kay Criss, 86, of Sullivan passed sweetly into the arms of Jesus, on Monday, September 7, 2026 at The Waters of Sullivan. She began her life journey on November 28, 1939 in Carlisle, Indiana. She was one of four children born to Albert and Mary Robbins. Sandra attended Carlisle High School and married her loving husband, Joseph Criss on November 11, 1957. They spent 63 years of loving life and serving Christ together, before his passing in 2020. She attended Carlisle Christian Church and enjoyed working puzzles, and word puzzles in her spare time.

Those awaiting her Heavenly arrival were her parents, her husband, Joseph Criss, along with siblings, Patricia Bergman and Shirley Berger.

Those here to cherish her memory are her children, Randy Criss (Arletha) and Cindy Phegley (John); grandchildren, Joseph Criss, James Criss, Tim Phegley and Hollie Phegley; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Erin Phegley, Levi and Toby Talley; extended great grand-daughters, Lizzy and Addy Huckaby. Along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Merom Cemetery at 11:00 am. with Pastor Erich Blevins officiating.

Holmes Memorial Chapel and staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
