Sandy Sue Cooprider

Sandy Sue Cooprider, 80, of Farmersburg went on to be with the Lord on Sunday April 15, 2018 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Vigo County on July 4, 1937 to Loren A. Drake and Geraldine (Harkness) Drake. Sandy was a 1955 graduate of Farmersburg High School and a 1959 graduate of ISU School of Education where she earned her under graduate and graduate degrees. She was a devout member of the Community Church of Farmersburg and very involved with 4-H not only as a participant but also in her adult years as a judge. Sandy was a devoted Teacher for the Northeast School Corporation for 30 plus years. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Gerald Drake.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 59 years LeRoy Cooprider whom she married on June 28, 1959; a son Darwin (Annette) Cooprider, a daughter Peggy Sue (Bob) Morrison, brothers John (Marge) Drake, Tim Drake, Dr. Fred (Diane) Drake, Dr. Stan (Rita) Drake, sisters Nina (Bruce) Cagle, Jill Drake, grandchildren, Daniel (Danielle) Morrison, Emily (Patrick) Lovellette, Hollyann Cooprider, Sarah Cooprider, and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:00p.m. on Friday April 20, 2018 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Revs. Eddie Myers, Dick Smith and Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8:00p.m. and on Friday from 11:00a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
