Sandy "Pup" Wright

Sandy “Pup” Gene Wright, 69, Sullivan, Passed away at IU Methodist Hospital on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was born and raised in Sullivan County to Guy and Betty (Butler) Wright. Sandy attended Sullivan High School and went on to be a Carpenter which allowed him to to live out his life doing what he loved which was passing the time tinkering and taking things apart. In his down time Sandy could be found out in the woods hunting deer or mushrooms and sometimes fishing.  To know Sandy was to love him. He did not know a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Preceding him in death are his parents Guy and Betty, and his twin brothers Randy Wright, and brother Donnie Wright. He is survived by his former wife Lela Santus, daughter Jessie Harris (Ryan), step-son Conner Wright, sister Sonja Camacho (Frank), grand children Kelsey Wood (Kyler), and Karson Harris (Katie), great grand child Rylann Payton, nieces Subrina Schofield (Bill), Samantha Deck (Dale),and Theresa Brown (Neil), and nephews Travis Wright (Lucy), and Shawn Farmer.

A Graveside Service will be held at Center Ridge Cemetery on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Miller Officiating

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you drink a beer at the Diamond in Memory of him.
