Sherra Creed

Sherra Creed, 58, of Sullivan passed away on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cory IN, on May 12, 1959 to Marvin Lee Warken and Helen Eileen (Williams) Warken. Sherra was a 1977 graduate of Clay City High School and attended Indiana State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing and English. Sherra went on to obtain her Masters in Nursing Informatics from Walden University. Sherra was a RN in surgery for over 23 years; she then dedicated her life to teaching Surgical Technology at Ivy Tech Community College Wabash Valley for over 14 years, serving the last years of her time there as the Program Chair. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sullivan, a Breast Cancer Survivor and member of "P.I.N.K" of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years Randy Creed whom she married on March 31, 1989, her mother and step father Helen and Arlen Andres, of Cory IN, son Matthew Creed and Klair Wiram of Sullivan, daughter Allison (Justin) McKain of Shelburn, brother John Warken of Terre Haute, Nephew Logan (Kristen) Pfaff of Sullivan, and a grandchild that is expected to arrive in October.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev Wayne Unger officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
