Shirlene Joy Rogers

Shirlene Joy Rogers, 67, of Farmersburg, passed away on November 14, 2014 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born on October 22, 1947 in Cook County IL to Willard and Shirley (Wehling) Wille. Shirlene was a 1965 graduate of Beecher High School, married Robert Rogers on May 29, 1965 and together they started a family. Her family was the biggest part of her life and she raised her children in a loving, caring home. She was a member of the Sullivan American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed bowling, and Nascar racing. Preceding her in death are her parents, a brother Aldis Wille and a sister Andrea Vreeman.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years Robert "Tyke" Rogers, two daughters, Julie (Jeff) Thomas of Farmersburg, Sherri Rogers of Shelburn a son Rick (Jane) Rogers of Fairbanks, two sisters, Denise (Dan) Gross of Ft. Collins CO, Sheila (Jeff) Laguna of Loveland CO, seven grandchildren, Dustin Rogers, Nicole Rogers, Danielle Thomas, Tod Lebeda, Samantha Thomas, Brianna Lebeda, James Thomas, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at Holmes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Norman Santus officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services.
