Shirley R. Hennecke, of Shelburn, passed away in her residence on Friday June 17, 2016. She was born on December 9, 1936 in Lewis, Indiana to Charles Hubert Rowe and Mary Margaret Criss Rowe. She is survived by her husband Marvin Hennecke, daughter Kathy (Mark) Lyday, sons Ralph (Becky) Hennecke and Randy (Christina) Hennecke, eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother Charles Rowe, and sisters LaDonna Strahla, June McCammon and Nelly Rowe. Shirley was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars for over fifty years, a past Worthy Matron of the Shelburn Chapter, and upon its closing she transferred to the Hymera Chapter, and was a member of the Shelburn United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader, and her greatest love was her family. She retired from Northeast School Corporation as a Teachers Aide. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 11:00am until time of service at 2:00pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel, in Sullivan, with Bro. Norman Santus officiating. The Order of Eastern Stars will have a memorial service at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 11:00am until time of service at 2:00pm at Holmes Memorial Chapel, in Sullivan, with Bro. Norman Santus officiating. The Order of Eastern Stars will have a memorial service at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg.
