Susan Darlene (Ouart) Walker

Susan Darlene Ouart Walker, passed gently into the arms of Jesus, on Thursday, May 8, 2025 in the comfort of her home. Susan was born on October 10, 1959 in San Fernando California , to Seldon and Geraldine Ouart. She was a graduate of Sylmar High School. Susan went on to achieve her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked in the San Fernando Valley hospitals, lovingly caring for her patients.

She married her life partner, David Walker on July 28, 1979. She was  proud to be a Navy wife. Together they built a Christ centered life, raising their 2 children and actively working in the church. Susan was a long time member of the Sullivan First assembly of God. She was an active leader for,  Honor Stars and Missionettes. She was active in Women’s ministries and Chaplains wives. She was a leading force in the fresh food program, for the underprivileged and elderly that the church supported, many years ago.  She also enjoyed being a Boy Scout leader, reading, sewing, camping and being outdoors. Her most precious jewel in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her dedication and loving, caring ways were abundant to those she met along life's way.  Her family will forever remember her adventurous spirit and share that with each of them. She was passionate about her children traveling and seeing all 50 States.  Her legacy will be passed down for generations to come.

She is preceded by her parents.

Those here to cherish her memory are her husband, David Walker; children, Andrew Walker and Amanda Henry (Justin); siblings, Skip Ouart (Kim), Jimmy Ouart and Gerald Ouart, along with grandchildren, Faith and Grace Henry.

A celebration of Susans life will be on Saturday, May 24, 2025 service at 1:00 pm. at Sullivan First Assembly of God.

The family graciously requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Susan’s Memory to the Sullivan Assembly of God, or Assembly of God Chaplaincy Department. Envelopes will be available at the service.

Holmes Memorial Chapel and Staff were honored to assist the family with arrangements.
